Why I Have Stephen Harper’s Passport

Okay, I don’t really have Harper’s passport. But I did a pretty convincing mockup of it.

And why did I do this?

This is unconvincing. Stephen Harper’s photo actually looks good. You know that all passport photos now are crappy. They are (a) in black and white and (b) all look way too dark.

    – Steve: Thatt’s kinda the point. If they look close enough, they’ll realize Feb 30 isn’t a real date, the passport number is unlikely, the issuing organization is peculiar. The idea is to see if they still manage to miss it all.

Have you seen this one? It comes replete with warnings not to try this at home.

    “Peculiar”?

That’s putting it very mildly, Tod!

Ah, yes Tod, I was too quick to comment. I actually hadn’t read your accompanying article–I just saw the picture. And yes, Feb 30 is not a date, etc. etc. :) But is it just me and my friends or is everybody’s passport photo being REALLY messed up by Passport Canada? The photo we submit looks all right, and the crap we get back is way too dark…
