A/V and Hotel Requirements

This document outlines the A/V support that Tod Maffin will need in order to present at your event.

The information here is critically important.

Tod will meet the A/V technician 30 minutes prior to the start of the daypart that includes Tod’s presentation (or by previous arrangement) during a time when attendees are not present in the room. Please ensure a technician is available at this time to coordinate the below items.

A/V Requirements

  • Tod requires access to standard 110v power at his position on the podium to power his notebook computer.
  • Tod presents with his notebook computer in front of him. You must provide a VGA cable long enough to reach between Tod’s computer on the lectern and the projector. The VGA cable supplied must be fitted with a Mini DisplayPort to VGA Adapter (details).
  • Some of Tod’s presentations include audio (check with Tod to see if that’s the case with the presentation you’ve booked), so a direct feed to the room’s sound system is needed. A “stereo mini” plug connected to the sound system or mixing board must be provided at the lectern for this. If possible, please provide a Line Out feed of the final mix for Tod Maffin’s personal recording and/or a video crew.
  • You will need to provide a wireless lavaliere or wireless over-the-ear headset-style microphone only (no hand-held or lectern-mounted mics). Ensure a new spare battery is available within Tod’s reach before the presentation begins.

General Information

Computer

  • Tod will bring his own notebook computer. It is a MacBook Pro 17″ and works with all contemporary projectors. You must have a Mini DisplayPort-to-VGA adapter available to ensure his notebook will connect to your VGA projector cable.

Recording/Photography

  • You are welcome to have video cameras projecting Tod’s image on large screens, but the presentation may not be recorded in either audio or video form at any time or for any purpose.
  • If the set-up is two screens, Tod’s slides must remain on one screen at all times.
  • Short clips may be recorded by the media. Contact the agency prior to the event if you have questions about this.
  • Still photography without flash is permitted at any time.

Promotional Photographs

  • High-resolution photographs for promotional purposes (including delegate kits) can be downloaded at http://todmaffin.com/about/photos . You may use these photos in any conference material (print or electronic).

    Hotel Requirements

    • Iron and ironing board is mandatory.
    • Ideally, the hotel should have in-room dining available at least one hour after Tod’s arrival
    • Prefer high-floor room, close to elevator.
