Aeroplan: “Our web site is pretty. It doesn’t work, but it’s pretty!”

This has been going on for more than a week now. You get right to the end of the booking process then it crashes. I’m on hold with their “web site assistance centre.”
What do YOU think they’ll say?
- “It’s because you’re using a Mac.”
- “We don’t support Firefox.”
- “I’m not sure. Did you try it again?”
I’ll have the results later.

good luck. anything Air Canada touches turns to gold.
I vote for #3.
Aeroplan’s booking site is horrid! I just booked an Aeroplan flight to Halifax for August and as much as I hated to do it, I had to bite the bullet and pay their stupid $35 phone booking fee because the phone agents could find flights for me that were not available on the website.
#3 it will be. Followed by 1 then 2 depending on the agent. Sadly nothing will be logged and they will never clean up their site. As with any problems with websites I’ve ever reported.
Early in 2007 our travel agent tried to book me a flight through Air Canada’s site. It didn’t work, but AC ended up charging my credit card for the flight anyway — three times!
My agent got the charges reversed, but we ended up on another airline.
Good to see they’ve fixed those problems in the past year. Ahem.
Tod. I’m disappointed that you forgot the most often used tech support recommendation… “reboot your computer”.
Tod,
I vote for reason # 2 - “You’re using FireFox”. I use FireFox and I love it. But the truth is, it gets a bit unstable. Or is it Microsoft Windows XP?
